Attending your first (or fourteenth) writer’s conference can be fraught with anxiety. What to wear? What to bring? How to behave? You wonder who you will meet, how the critiquer will like the manuscript you submitted, and whether or not this will be the event that will change your career path. Once I had a few conferences under my belt, I decided to write up some advice for newbies.
